How does an eyebrow transplant work?

In an eyebrow transplant, ultra-fine individual hair follicles, usually from the nape area, are extracted and placed into the eyebrows in a precisely pre-drawn shape and direction of growth. The procedure takes two to four hours, is performed under local anaesthesia and delivers a permanent result that is fully visible after around nine months.

Who is the treatment suitable for?

For women and men with thin, over-plucked or patchy eyebrows, after scars or burns, and for naturally weak brow growth. Unlike microblading or permanent make-up, the result does not fade. It grows.

Eyebrow transplant or microblading?

Microblading pigments the skin and needs refreshing every one to two years. A transplant places real, growing hairs: the result is three-dimensional, catches light and shadow like natural brows, and lasts permanently. The only maintenance: regular trimming, as transplanted scalp hairs grow slightly faster than brow hairs.

How quickly will I be socially presentable again?

Small crusts at the insertion points heal within three to five days. Mild redness can then be covered. After two weeks nothing is visible from the outside; new growth begins from the third month.

How your treatment works

  1. 01

    Brow design

Shape, arch and density are drawn on and agreed with you in the mirror. The procedure only begins once you are happy.

  2. 02

    Extraction of the finest follicles

Individual fine hair follicles that match the natural brow structure are carefully selected and extracted.

  3. 03

    Implantation at a flat angle

Eyebrow hairs grow extremely flat and in changing directions. Each hair is placed individually accordingly.

  4. 04

    Care & trimming

Once healed, the hairs grow permanently and are trimmed regularly, cared for just like natural brows.

Frequently asked questions about hair transplants

Do I have to trim transplanted eyebrows?
Yes, a short trim roughly every one to two weeks: the transplanted hairs keep the growth cycle of scalp hair and therefore grow slightly longer than natural brow hairs. After a short while, trimming becomes as routine as shaving.
When can I exercise again after a hair transplant?
Light exercise is possible after about a week. You should avoid strenuous sport, weight training, sauna and swimming pools for four weeks so as not to jeopardise the healing of the grafts.
How soon can I return to work?
Office work is usually possible again after two to three days. Visible crusts heal within seven to ten days; with a loose head covering (once medically approved), many patients are back to everyday life even sooner.
When and how may I wash my hair after the procedure?
The first wash takes place on the second or third day, following precise instructions, with a special foam and without pressure. You receive your care set and step-by-step instructions on the day of treatment; if you have any questions, the team can be reached at any time.
