How does PRP help with hair loss?
In PRP therapy (Platelet-Rich Plasma), a platelet-rich plasma is obtained from your own blood and injected into the scalp. The growth factors it contains activate weakened hair follicles, extend the growth phase and can visibly slow hereditary hair loss in its early stages. Three to four sessions at four-week intervals are recommended.
Who is PRP suitable for?
PRP is the right choice for early to moderate hereditary hair loss, diffuse hair loss (after medical investigation), for stabilisation after a hair transplant, and for anyone who wants to strengthen their existing hair before a transplant becomes necessary at all. In completely bald areas, PRP cannot create new follicles; here we advise on transplantation.
PRP or mesotherapy: What is the difference?
PRP uses concentrated growth factors from your own blood. Mesotherapy supplies the scalp with a finely balanced complex of vitamins, amino acids and peptides. The two procedures complement each other: in practice we frequently combine them in an individual treatment plan, depending on findings, goals and budget.
When will I see results?
Initial effects (less hair loss when washing and brushing) usually appear after the second or third session. Visibly denser, stronger hair develops over three to six months. We document your progress with standardised photos so you can assess it objectively.
How your treatment works
- 01
Blood draw & preparation
A small amount of your own blood is drawn and centrifuged. The concentrated plasma is used immediately.
- 02
Injection into the scalp
The PRP is injected precisely into the affected zones with the finest needles, well tolerated after numbing cream.
- 03
Session plan
Three to four sessions at intervals of around four weeks, followed by a top-up every six to twelve months.
- 04
Progress monitoring
Photo documentation and medical check-ups make your progress objectively visible.
