How does the treatment day at Hair Rooms work?

The day belongs to you alone: Hair Rooms treats one patient per treatment day. The morning starts with the final consultation and marking of the hairline at the mirror, together with the doctor. Then come photos for your documentation, the local anaesthesia, graft extraction from the donor area, a lunch break and, in the afternoon, the implantation. In the early evening you leave the clinic with a care set and written instructions.

What happens before the procedure: analysis and planning?

Everything starts with the free hair analysis: four short questions, optional photos, an answer within 24 hours. Next comes the consultation with examination, graft planning and a binding fixed price. Only once plan and price are in writing is the treatment day scheduled; between commitment and procedure you receive a short preparation list for the final days.

How long does a hair transplant take?

Expect a full day: 6 to 8 hours with the FUE Sapphire method, 6 to 9 hours with DHI, breaks included. The duration depends on the graft count, not on the clock: because no second patient is waiting, your procedure is not run on a schedule, and the final hour receives the same care as the first.

Does the procedure hurt and what anaesthesia is used?

The work is done under local anaesthesia; you stay awake and responsive. The least comfortable moment is the brief series of injections at the start; after that, the treatment is usually low in pain. Many patients listen to podcasts, watch a series or doze during implantation; breaks are possible at any time.

What happens after the treatment day?

In the evening you travel home, ideally picked up or by train and taxi. The first days follow the written care instructions; the first check-up with hair wash takes place at the clinic. Everything else, from sleeping position to sport, is described day by day in our aftercare guide, and the months after that in the guide on hair growth stages.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a hair transplant take?
The procedure itself takes 6 to 8 hours with FUE Sapphire and 6 to 9 hours with DHI, including breaks. Plan for the whole day; you are back home the same evening.
Does a hair transplant hurt?
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia; after the brief injections at the start, the treatment itself is usually low in pain. Many patients read, listen to music or doze off in between.
Do I have to come to Frankfurt before the treatment day?
Not necessarily twice: the first assessment runs through the free hair analysis with photos. If needed, the on-site consultation and examination can be combined with the treatment day; we plan this together around your journey.
Can I drive myself home after the procedure?
We recommend being picked up or using train and taxi. Before you leave, you receive all care instructions in writing plus the care set for the first days.
