Receding hairline: honestly planned.
Receding temples are usually the first visible stage of hereditary hair loss. They can be treated, with small sessions and often without a full shave. What matters is a plan that fits your future hair loss pattern, not just today's mirror image.

What is a receding hairline and why does it happen?
A receding hairline is the retreat of the hairline at the temples, typically the first visible stage of hereditary hair loss. The cause is an inherited sensitivity of the follicles to the hormone DHT: over years, hairs in this zone grow finer and shorter until the follicles stop working. It has nothing to do with poor hair care.
Can a receding hairline be stopped?
Further progression can often be slowed and stabilised, for example with PRP and mesotherapy as supporting treatment. The honest limit: a zone that has already gone bald does not regain its hair this way. Where follicles are lost, only relocating healthy follicles from the donor area helps.
How does a hair transplant for receding temples work?
It is a small, precise session: the zone needs comparatively few grafts but demands maximum care with angle and direction so that the transition to the existing hairline stays invisible. We usually work with the DHI method, which offers exactly this control and often works without a full shave. The procedure takes one treatment day; at Hair Rooms you are the only patient on that day.
How many grafts does a receding hairline need?
As a guide: 800 to 1,600 grafts depending on how deep the recession is. The exact number depends on hair calibre, the contrast between hair and scalp and the desired density; two patients with similar-looking temples can need different amounts. The number becomes binding only after measurement at the free hair analysis, in writing and with reasoning. The full table for all stages is on our Norwood scale page.
What does treating a receding hairline cost?
Because the graft requirement is small, treatment usually falls within the entry range of our fixed-price packages from EUR 2,900. The fixed price is set before you commit and includes analysis, procedure, care set and follow-up appointments; a per-graft price that rewards inflated numbers deliberately does not exist here.
Why does the hairline design decide everything?
Because a poor result shows here first. A new line that sits too low, runs too straight or is packed too densely looks artificial, especially with age. Our hairline design plans the line to match your facial proportions and deliberately keeps reserve for future hair loss: better a line that still looks right at 55 than one that was spectacular at 35.
When is the right time for treatment?
Not as early as possible, but as stable as possible. For very young patients with active hair loss we do not rush to fill in; we stabilise first, otherwise the gap simply moves behind the transplanted area. Whether your temples are ready for treatment today is answered by the free hair analysis within 24 hours, in German, English or Turkish.
