FUE or DHI: the honest comparison.
Neither method is better across the board. FUE Sapphire shows its strength on large areas, DHI on precise hairlines and work without a full shave. Which one fits you is decided by your findings, not by a catalogue.

What is the core difference between FUE and DHI?
The difference lies in how grafts are placed, not in how they are extracted. With the FUE Sapphire method, fine channels are first opened with a sapphire blade and the grafts are placed afterwards. With the DHI method, that intermediate step disappears: the Choi implanter pen opens the channel and places the graft in one motion, with direct control over angle, direction and depth.

When is FUE Sapphire the better choice?
When area counts. For advanced hair loss with a high graft requirement, FUE Sapphire is the more efficient technique: more grafts per session, less time per graft and a price advantage over DHI. The crown region, which demands a lot of coverage, is also usually treated with FUE Sapphire.
When is DHI the better choice?
When precision counts. Along the front hairline, every angle decides how natural the result looks; this is exactly where the implanter pen’s control pays off. For densification between existing hair, for a receding hairline and for treatments without a full shave, for example for women or professionals with client contact, DHI is often the more elegant solution.
Are there differences in healing and results?
Fewer than the marketing of many providers suggests. Properly planned and cleanly executed, both procedures heal reliably and deliver equivalent final results. The honest answer: the quality of the outcome depends more on planning, on the extraction strategy in the donor area and on the team’s care than on the method’s name. A provider selling you one method as a miracle technique is selling, not planning.
Can FUE and DHI be combined?
Yes, and at Hair Rooms this is a frequently chosen path: the hairline with the DHI implanter for maximum control, the area behind it with FUE Sapphire for maximum graft count. Each zone gets the technique that serves it best, in a single treatment and at a fixed price.
